Fun with the internet

It's not as fun as when Samuel L. Jackson called your cell phone to tell you about Snakes on a Plane, but it is still funny.

Fall

It is so pretty right now. The leaves are absolutely perfect and it's just cold enough at night to put the warm blanket on the bed. Life is busy and hard sometimes. I left the house in the dark today. I even saw the moon - very full. I saw the sunrise in my rear-view mirror. It's amazing how much you can get done when you wake up so early. Of course, I'll be asleep by 9.

Anyhow, I'm glad for leaves and friends and cider donuts. But only warm cider donuts.

Fluff Festival!

We went to the Fluff festival in Somerville today. Did you know that Fluff was invented there in 1917? It was tons of fun! There were lots of cool things to eat and Matt got a fun Fluff t-shirt.

Fluff games

S'mores

Fluff Boy

Fluff Fear Factor - you got extra prize tickets if you ate the gross ones (Refried beans and Fluff? Shrimp and Fluff? Pickles and Fluff? Gross!).

Fluff Queen

If you haven't tried it, put some Fluff on your hot chocolate. So much better than regular marshmallows!

Sweetest Thing

Have you ever worn a pair of handmade socks? I swear they feel way better than regular socks. I tried making socks with 2 circular needles, but I couldn't wrap my head around how it worked. I felt bad for the poor sock yarn so I gave it to my dear friend wc. I told her to knit up some socks for herself with that yarn. Well, she knit up some socks and mailed them to me!

Aren't they the cutest things ever? Even the stripes match. I can't take it!

Thanks for the socks! You rule!

PS I am writing this on my brand-spankin' new MacBook. I heard they are coming out with new ones really soon. I'm already outdated! But I got a free iPod (that is also outdated). Meh.

Oh dear:

Hmm...

90210 was what I expected. I might still have to watch it anyway.

Is it wrong to be so excited for this?

I plan on fast forwarding all new people and just watch Brenda be Brenda.

"Look I hate you both. Never talk to me again!"
- Brenda Walsh to Dylan & Kelly from 3.19 Back in the Highlife Again
Ah, Brenda.

We won!

We finished the license plate game! North Dakota tried to elude us, but we found him. We saw all 50 states (even Hawaii) since we started playing in May. We are nerds.

August?

Can it really be almost August? How did that happen?

Anyway, July was great. Here are some pictures of stuff we did in July. We saw whales, went to NY, Utah, and California. We saw the Red Sox beat the Orioles (hooray for S's first Red Sox victory in Fenway Park- the curse is broken!) and I am a year older. Boo.

Humpback whale off the coast of Rye, NH

My birthday cake that Lucy dropped, but amazingly caught. Whew!

How small is the castle? So small compared to Orlando's!

June Is Exciting So Far

June is an interesting month for me. I look forward to the end of the school year, but once it is over, I realize pretty quickly that I have nothing to do. Well, I can clean the house and do the laundry, but every day is the same. Next month should be better.

Anyway, we went to Game 1 of the NBA Finals last week. It was, by far, the best sporting event I've ever been to. Really. We walked out with Bruce Willis too. So exciting.

On a sadder note, Maria and Dave have officially left Boston for good. We went to his graduation party last night. Congrats Dr. Dave!

What a view from their place!

San Jose is Far Away

Here's to the girls' dinners! We'll miss you M!

Wednesday, May 07, 2008

Ok, I know my blog has no substance. It's mostly just pictures of stuff we do. I hope that's ok. I don't have much to say anyway. Well, today anyway.

Elmo and the Pope were in NYC on the same day!

We went to see Legally Blonde (no pics of that), got pedicures, ate yummy food and stole my mom's new car. She made me give it back though.

We stopped at Frank Pepe's in New Haven on the way back. The Limoliner cancelled our bus and stranded us in NYC. We had to rent a car to get back. Don't ride the Limoliner.

Our mall has Christmas decorations up in May. Don't get mad though - it's for a movie! It's called Mall Cop and Kevin James is in it. Here are some pics - no celebs though.

I have 5500 pictures in my iPhoto on my Mac. Nuts! Here are some funny ones:

I love when people eat turkey legs and walk around.
