Snow!

It has snowed so much here! We have had 3 snowstorms in a week. Sunday it is supposed to be 45 degrees and rainy. Then we'll have floods.

Off to NY for Christmas soon. We'll post pics from there too.

Adventures with Cats and Trains

We bought a Lego Holiday Train this year to put under our tree. After waiting over a week to get the part that actually powers the train, we were ready to test it out. The cat was not cool with this.

Here is the train:

Here is Corduroy's first impression of the train:

He ended up getting a bit curious.

We're still friends though, even if the train took away his favorite sleeping spot.

We carved our pumpkin tonight. Trick or treating is from 6 to 8 PM tomorrow, so we thought it would be better to carve it tonight.

Here are the pumpkins we've carved all the way back to 2002.

Autumn in New England

We've been enjoying all the fun things fall has to offer in New England. We went apple picking with Sonya and Samir. It was Samir's first time and he took awesome pictures. Here are a few:

We also went to the Topsfield Fair. We saw the world's largest pumpkin. It was 1,689 pounds!

We also saw a 2,900 pound ox and lots of giant vegetables. I think I'll save those for another post.

Ok here's the ox. I would want to see it too.

Tufts Alumni Night at Fenway Park

Maria, Sonya, Andrea, and I went to see the Red Sox vs the Toronto Blue Jays on the 5th. They lost but we had a good time anyway. We're just there for the food anyhow. We had hot dogs, fries, ice cream, and fried dough. Oh, I almost forgot about the kettle corn! Mmm.

Don't try to start the wave too often, or you'll get thrown out like these guys:

US Open!

Matt, Maria, David, and I went down to NY to see the US Open. Corduroy came too and he did NOT like the car ride. He had to have a bath at MIT before we left. I'll just leave it at that.

We were so lucky to have great matches the day we were there. Agnieszka Radwanska beat Maria Sharapova 6-4 1-6 6-2. Andy Roddick beat Thomas Johansson 6-3 6-2 6-0 and Roger Federer beat John Isner 6-7(4) 6-2 6-4 6-2. We really thought Isner had a chance, but he lost steam after the first set.

We sat in the very last row of Arthur Ashe stadium, but we could still see everything that was going on. We thought we would tumble down the aisle every time we got up, but it wasn't too bad.

Here are some pictures of our trip. We used the camera phone since we didn't want to carry a camera all day and have to wait in the bag line to get in.

PS If you ever go to the Open, don't wait until after the matches are over to get your t-shirt. Poor planning on our part.

We got back from Hawaii safe and sound (a day late, but safe and sound nonetheless). We had a fabulous time and it was awesome to see everyone. Here are a few pictures from our trip:

Next week we're off to NY to see the US Open with Maria and Dave. So excited!

Love it!

I decided that I should use this blog to update friends and family on what is going on in our lives. We had a pretty exciting weekend, so I guess this is as good a time as any to start.

We went to get Harry Potter 7 at midnight on the 21st. It was 1:30 AM before we got to sleep that night. We flew to Philadelphia the next day so that we could spend the night in Atlantic City, NJ.

Here we are at Bobby Flay Steak for dinner:

After dinner we went to see Billy Joel. It was a private concert and we got to sit in the 9th row!

Here is Matt excited to ride in a limo back to the airport:

When we got home, I picked my first ripe tomato of the season! It is an Azoychka Russian tomato.

My business is video game arcades, laundry, cigarette machines,
and trucking. I dabble a little bit in personal loans and politics.

It was a run-by fruiting!

I have been knitting for a few months now. I guess it has been since October or so. I am not very good, but here are some pictures of my projects.

This one is a cell phone holder I made for my friend Maria. It has 2 layers in the front with a piece of plexiglass in the middle so that it is stronger.

I also made 3 blankets. I gave 2 away so far (and can't find my pictures of them). Here is my very first blanket:

I guess that is all for now. :)

They are opening a new Harry Potter theme park in Orlando. The pictures look awesome.

I'd like to visit there, but it's not opening until 2009 or 2010. I will be old.

Just waiting to eat dinner. Not much new today.
